From his unique life background and studies, Musk Ming finds a way to combine the traditional Classic Chinese arts with the modern, western technique. His artwork reflects an international outlook and cross-cultural perspective The missing or hidden sexuality in classical Chinese art and the relatively open approach in the West are brought to the fore in Musk Ming’s paintings, representing an irony that highlights the marked differences in sexual values between the East and the West. Behind his nude paintings, the topics always focus on the relationship between human being, society and nature. Musk Ming also explores a return to Taoism values as a tolerant alternative and his work visualize the longing for an open-minded China.
