THE ARTIST
Created in 1991, with four young actors specializing in classical theater, the Micomicon Company has been performing for more than twenty-five years and has explored popular theater, classical tragedies and dramas, touring around twenty European countries and Hispano-american cities.
DESCRIPTION
Micomicon approach committed theater and activism from 1998 with plays written and directed by Laila Ripoll, as the Trilogy of Memory (AtraBilis (2002), Santa Perpetua (2012), The Blue Triangle (2014)).
They have worked about the Spanish civil war, the Spanish prisoners in the camp of Mauthausen, the repression in the postwar period, the culture in the time of the second Spanish republic, and recently the disabled children and their integration. It is a theater that expresses through popular language the repression, disinformation and rewriting of Spanish history, seeking its rescue through the staging of its authentic roots.
